He studied vocal technique, vocal pedagogy and the application of modern voice science to the art of singing and movement under renowned singing voice specialist, author and researcher Dr. Jean Callaghan (Sydney).
In addition, he is heavily influenced by the approach to American musical-theater vocal technique as practiced by musical theater specialists Mary Saunders, Norman Spivey, Raymond Sage and Beverly Patton, “Bel Canto/Can Belto” of Pennsylvania State University, USA.
Keng Shin is a trained Vocal Pedagogue, Tenor and Mime who performs professionally as well. Keng Shin has been teaching vocal technique full-time since 1996 and has taught vocalists with ages ranging from 9 to 72 years.
His students include professional musical theater performers, stage actors, voice actors, voice teachers, choir conductors, music directors, church worship leaders, singers and motivated amateurs.
